Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Chem-Log collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, password (stored encrypted) or Google sign-in profile, and applicator certification number.
• Company records: company name, members and roles, approved products, and service logs (customer name, site address, products, amounts, pests, times, weather).
• Photos you take or upload on a job.
• Location: only when you tap a location button, your device's GPS position is used to look up the site address and current weather. We do not track you in the background.
• Technical data: basic logs and error reports needed to keep the app running.

How we use it

• To provide the Service: store logs, produce reports and let your company view its records.
• To secure accounts and prevent misuse.
• To send account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password resets.

We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Records are visible only to members of the company that created them. Photos are kept in private storage. We share data with service providers that help run Chem-Log (hosting, database, mapping and weather lookup) only as needed to provide those functions. GPS coordinates are sent to a mapping service for the address and to a weather service for conditions. We may disclose data if required by law.

Retention

Pesticide records are kept while your company account is active so they are available for audits; many states require records be kept for two years or more. Your company controls its records and can request export or deletion.

Your choices and rights

• Update your name and certification number in Settings.
• Turn off location permission in your browser or phone at any time; you can type addresses and weather instead.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights, which we will honor.

Customer information

Pest control companies enter information about their own customers. For that information the company is responsible for its collection, and Chem-Log processes it on the company's behalf.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted per company, and passwords are never stored in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect your login.

Children

Chem-Log is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 16.
